Training Camps
AB Hub Training Camps
AB Hub Training Camps occur all over the province to support the continuous development of all our skaters in their club environments. Camps range from 1 day to 6 day camps.

Summit Performance Camp
The Summit Performance Camp is co-hosted by Speed Skating Alberta and Speed Skating Ontario for skaters across Canada. We have many high level guest coaches for all of the ST and LT ice sessions. The camp includes dryland, strength, nutrition, mental performance, stationary cycling sessions as well as many other fun activities.

Summit Kids Camp
Summit Kids (formerly Summer Speed) is focused on skaters 8-12 years of age. This camp includes ice (ST and LT), age appropriate strength sessions, nutrition, circuit training, dryland and of course games and the occasional water fight! It is a great opportunity for skaters to mix with others from across Canada - truly a fantastic summer camp experience.

Long Track Academy
The Long Track Academy bridges the gap between club programming and the Oval Program, offering skaters enhanced opportunities to grow in the sport. Through collaboration with our clubs and the Olympic Oval, athletes gain access to expert coaching and quality programming to help them reach their individual goals.

Short Track Academy
The Short Track Academy enhances club programming by bringing athletes of similar age and ability together to train in more robust groups. By bridging the gap between club programs and the Oval Program, the Academy helps raise the overall level of short track speed skating in Alberta

SHORT TRACH ACADEMY - On the road
The Short Track Academy - On the road, supports clubs across Alberta by providing coach mentorship from a dedicated team of experienced coaches. These coaches work alongside club coaches during regularly scheduled sessions throughout the season.
Cycling Programs
Speed Skating Alberta offers Basic Cycling Mechanic Courses every season in partnership with Bow Cycle. The Cycling Program includes mountain bike and road cycling with Certified Cycling Coaches.
